Restorative treatments

We use a number of materials to replace lost tooth structure, depending on location, size and expected load of the restoration. The white Composite fillings are used for front tooth fillings and small back tooth fillings. Larger fillings on back teeth are best done in amalgam or gold, the option is up to you. If the restoration is more than half of the tooth, we recommend crowning the tooth for adequate strength and protection of further loss of tooth structure. These crowns can be white (most common) or can be gold (usually for back teeth in heavy bites).
