Less tooth discolouration and enamel damage – Fixed braces are bonded to the enamel of each tooth. When they are removed, the enamel can be left damaged and patients sometimes find that they are left with ‘white squares’ on each tooth. Invisalign requires only a few small, tooth-coloured attachments to a select number of teeth.

HOW DOES INVISALIGN TEEN WORK? – Invisalign is the virtually invisible way to straighten teeth without braces. Using advanced 3D computerimaging technology, Invisalign depicts your teen’s complete treatment plan and creates a series of clear aligners to gradually move the teeth into their desired position.

HOW WILL I KNOW HOW OFTEN MY CHILD IS WEARING THEIR ALIGNERS? – The blue compliance indicators located on the upper aligner can estimate the approximate amount of time your teen spends wearing their aligners. The indicators are designed to fade from blue to clear with appropriate wear.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD LOSES THEIR ALIGNERS? – Simply inform your child’s doctor right away. They may be advised to wear their previous set of aligners while a new set is ordered, or directed to move onto the next set immediately. Invisalign Teen treatment includes up to six individual replacement aligners at no charge.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? – In most cases, the cost and treatment time of Invisalign is comparable to traditional braces. However, as with other medical treatments, only your dentist or orthodontist can determine the cost, based on your specific needs. Other factors may include your treatment goals, the difficulty of your case, how long you are in treatment, your orthodontic insurance coverage and additional factors determined by your dentist or orthodontist.
